EMT-B/DRIVER Duties: 
 
Performs responsible technical and human support work providing medical care to patients using basic life support (BLS) and/or advanced life support, if certified. Assists in maintaining equipment inventory on emergency vehicles. Maintains vehicles in a clean and working order. Performs general cleaning of the fire stations apparatus bay and living quarters.

OFFERING TWO (2), PAY TIERS:
 
ALS/DRIVER Salary: $15.00/hour
EMT-B/DRIVER Salary: $13.00/hour
 
Proposed hours: Weekdays, daytime preferred (Schedule is flexible)
  
Qualifications:EMT/Driver Requirements:
 
General knowledge of the methods, materials, practices and techniques and equipment required for emergency medical treatment in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license.
Current valid Emergency Medical Technician certification issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Intermediate or Paramedic providers must be sanctioned to practice in the Tidewater EMS Region
Possession of a valid basic life support provider certification for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Possession of a minimum of EVOC Class II certification
Applicant shall successfully pass a background check 
Successful applicants must maintain possession of a current EMT-B card and CPR card while in employment with the Greenbackville V.F.D.
Copies of all certifications and licenses need to be submitted with the application.
